Castles & Crusades Players Handbook #7

Created by Stephen Chenault

You’ll find with C&C that the game is easy to play, but more importantly is its versatility. You can take your house rules and drop them right on top of the C&C mechanic (the Siege Engine) and keep on playing. You are in control. Take the advantage/disadvantage system from 5E and use it with C&C. There’s nothing stopping you. What’s even better, because the whole game is driven by attribute checks that have only loose guidelines, the game master chooses what attribute check the player rolls. If they want the wizard to swim better, make the character roll an intelligence check to swim the river. It’s your game. Take it.

C&C Players Handbook 7 Update
over 6 years ago – Thu, Aug 03, 2017 at 01:43:06 AM

Greetings from the Dens!

At last some good news! The first 100 backer-orders for the C&C Players Handbook 7 shipped today. I'm not sure whose, it was pretty random. But we loaded them into the truck and rolled them to the post office just a few minutes ago. From this point forward you'll see a steady stream of these heading out.

Now that the Players Handbook is shipping we will open it up for general sale on our website. BUT rest assured no orders will ship until the KS is complete. So you are at the front of the line.

Things to look for:

1) Digital copy coming today, or the coupon for its download. So be on the look out.

2) Of Gods and Monsters, if you get that in your order, it WILL NOT SHIP until this Winter. We are only at the beginning of its make over.

3) Those who get the Collector's Edition. It is scheduled to arrive this week.

Thank you all again. (PS we used the little truck for this shipment!)

With a little luck we'll begin shipping the PH next week. We'll keep you posted.

C&C Players Handbook 7 Update
almost 7 years ago – Tue, Jun 20, 2017 at 06:33:41 PM

Greetings from the Dens,

We've run into a bit of a snag on this Kickstarter. All things are right with the books, everything approved and ready to print. All that is, but the special collector's edition with the cloth cover.

What looked great in layout and in the preview, has turned out to be a mixed blessing. Though it looks good, the quality has some issues. The tipping and/or embossing of images as we had planned doesn't seem to stand up. The images risk peeling on the tipped versions and the embossed suffers the same problem, though less so. I can't, in good conscious send you a book that will not last. So we are going to change the cover a bit. It is going to cost a little more (NOT to be passed on to you), but the end result will be much better for us all I think.

We are going to create a genuine leather cover. The cover will be very decorative, including borders, titling and decorative logo. It will include the the name stamping on the front, the marker and as a nice bonus for you all it will include "hubbing" on the spine. I've included a cover image of a book by Easton Press, Poe Stories and More, to give you an idea of the look of the book (notice the raised portion on the spine, that is the hubbing).

If anyone objects to this, because this isn't what we originally pitched to you, then we will happily offer a full or partial refund. Whatever you prefer.

And as a special offer, we are going to open up the Edgar Rice Burroughs offer for the Tarzan of the Apes collector's hardcover to you all so long as that Kickstarter is active. You can check it out here.

Thank you all and we look forward to hearing from you!

Steve
